Free as in Time

I’m reconnecting with the internet today. Not on purpose, really, but I’m not really focused on any particular task or line of thought. Not catching up on TheMyFace, or email, or searching for the next way to code the next thing. Just doing what we used to call surfing. It’s been a while. I guess I’d been missing this.

Today, I read some Tim Bray, which led me madly off in a number of directions. One of those took me to Chad Fowler, whom I’d never read online. Turns out he did a little project with ze frank, who, it turns out, sounds just like ze frank when he tweets. He’s now following me. Twitter is strange. Mr. Fowler also worked on a project which is like Hot or Not, but for code. It’s surprisingly addictive. Hot or Not itself is the same as it ever was. It turns out I’m still not a generous guy. Whilst poking about on Twitter, I did my part to improve up-time by dropping two famous people. Also bumped into an ad network called The DECK. I should be so lucky as to ever attract their attention.

And so it goes. A little slice of my Saturday.
