Books vs. Food

October 23rd

Last Thursday, I bought a book I couldn’t honestly afford. It’s a great book, but, sadly, also quite expensive. Today, with heavy heart, I returned the book.

As it turns out, The Bookshelf, an excellent bookstore here in Guelph, gives store credit for returns, rather than refunding one’s money. Given that book prices are sometimes just short of volatile, I can understand this. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help me buy groceries.

Would anyone like to buy $93.27 in Bookshelf credit for cash? If not, I guess everyone is getting books for Christmas…

I’m so sad you changed your colour scheme! I totally came here for the sole purpose of calling you Your Purple Majesty in your comments. No Prince jokes for me… *mopes*

I’ll buy it and use it later. How would you like your money?
