We just launched a new site for a client at the University of Guelph. The Global Environmental Change Group, from the Geography Department, were looking for a simple, effective web presence. GECG members attend a fair number of conferences, and people had been asking about their website, so they brought us in to give their organization an appropriate presence on the web. Nothing too flashy, just something pleasing and professional where they could showcase their work. We hope you like the results.

Monetizing a Facebook Application
February 11th
I’m not sure how I wound up here, but I found a site for buying and selling Facebook and Open Social apps. It’s called Appbid, and looks kinda cool. I’m sure there must be others out there.

Openfire on an Ubuntu LAMP box
June 18th
Today was one of those days that feels insanely productive, even if you don’t actually spend much time producing things. Bigs wins; small effort. Installing Openfire, for example.

It also has a lot of features I haven’t looked at yet, including LDAP integration. My task today was just to get it installed and up and running. That took about 10 whole minutes. Maybe [...]

Oh, and hats off to the tester who thought “davey boobs”, at the address “boobs@boobs.boobs”, was a good test of our signup form. We applaud you.
